when you cant find it at home depot and lowes, go here...for example - both chains carried only one size (12" which is a ridiculous size to carry if you only carry one) tapered faucet hoses, Elliotts had it in 3 sizes - thanks Elliotts!
Excellent hardware store. Prices higher than stores but quality can be as well. Very knowledgeable staff.
My husband went to Elliott's to purchase a replacement door handle/lock set for our front door. The type we were looking to replace is a very nice lever style that we paid $500-$600 for approximately 5 years ago. The clerk working in the hardware department looked at it and in a sarcastic tone said well I guess you know that style costs around $500. My husband replied yes I know, that is about what I paid for this one. My husband then said well do you have any in stock? The clerk then replied no..those are special ordered. My husband then said well I guess I know where I won't be buying it, and then left. He vows he will never shop there again.
The Service they provide is awesome. I went on searching for a screw to home depot and Loews they simply said the aisle number once went to the aisle I didn't find them. I found this store walked inside hoping the service would be same as big stores, but it was completely different. The store person walked me through the aisles and gave all the screws I required. 5 star support. Best in regards of service and pricing.
Went in today to get a clothesline. I found the clotheslines but they were either too much hardware having to make holes in the fence or too short. So I thought why not just a rope or similar. I found the rope and was approached by Wayne. Wayne turned out to be incredibly helpful. Set me up with a coated cable and a couple of doohickies and a tightener for a great price. I swear this set up will last forever and can barely be seen when not used. Thanks so much for showing me how all the little bits work Wayne! (I'm hoping I got the name right)
