Here my National story, i picked up a Premium SUV at DFW airport for our vacation, while we were at Albuquerque,NM our car was broken into @ Hilton. At 5am i called National and reached AAA who managed the roadside assistance for National. Since the location would be open at 6 i was asked to call back then. I called at 6 and they tried reaching National at Albuquerque airport but they could not reach them. This went on till about 7:30 thats when the tow truck showed up and i decided to show up there directly. While reaching there i called up customer care to help me with a resolution and i was told that i should stick a plastic on the 2 broken windows and windshield and drive to Dallas, i was shocked by this solution.. they reiterated that was the only solution available. By this time i reached the National location at Albuquerque to meet an arrogant and disgruntled employee who did not want to interact or solve my problem, then reached out to the location manager who in turn asked me to drive a 7 seater despite knowing that we were 8 of us. I wonder how this solution would have helped us. For over 2 hours i kept asking for a solution as i needed to get back home for Thanksgiving... after hours of follow-up i was given an option of a 15 seater(wonder how did it magically appear). The drive in that was the most uncomfortable one and ruined my thanksgiving holiday. The sad part was that none of the folks i interacted with were apologetic about it and i was charged the price for a premuim SUV despite riding in a sub standard vehicle.... so much so for #Nationalcares....

I had a great experience until two recent events. 1. the car I had and liked needed to be returned for a recall fix and although I was told I could get the same car back after the fix was done, it got transferred to another store instead. 2. The Murano I have now came without the SD Card that fits into a slot above the radio. Not only is the navigation on the card, the card is also used to store time, radio and audio settings, etc. So every time the car is turned off, the clock and all of the radio and audio settings are reset. I haven't been able to just get a replacement card, and swapping the entire car hasn't been convenient. Not a huge deal, but a bit annoying. (Certainly not good design on the part of Nissan either)

with a hungry 9 month old baby because they refused to take my debit card. They said I could use a debit card at other locations if I had a way to get there, but they couldn't help me get there. They take debit cards for out of state driver licenses. Called customer service, who said that policy could be overridden at the local office discretion. I am an emerald club member with over a dozen previous rentals on my account, I have never had this problem before. I have also never been told that being a resident of Texas puts me at a disadvantage when doing business in this state.

Nicely maintained selection of cars. No "aisle" service, but I wasn't disappointed in the upgraded car, and the service was very efficient and friendly.

Excellent service and I will never go anywhere else. While there I had the opportunity to watch Maya take care of the customer ahead of me, a very difficult customer with a not so kind attitude, and Maya did not lose her composure for a second, handling the customer with Grace and professionalism.

I am currently stranded at this location
