scrubs go to fowler, the stuff is better
There is discrimination of every kind, especially in the athletics department. If somebody has an asthma attack and dies due to lack of help, i will not be surprised. The coaches have no knowledge of the condition whatsoever. I had a friend who had asthma and she would have to stop to take breaks while running. The coaches got everyone together to discuss how it made them feel to see somebody "quitting" and "giving up". Then, some other girl had an asthma attack, and was laying face down on the field, crying and struggling to breathe. A few girls went over to check on her, and were yelled at to "leave her alone". The coaches did not check on her. In the end of the class, Coach King, the devil herself, told everybody to "learn how to breathe or transfer out of athletics". I had asthma, and i had to work really hard to keep up with everybody. Once, coach king was making us work really hard as a punishment for something stupid, and for some reason i was crying, because i think she made me feel bad beforehand. I stopped to do my rescue inhaler as i was having asthma, and i came back to class, while receiving the death glare from this psychotic woman. At the end, she was yelling at us, and here's exactly what she said, and I quote: " Some of you were asking me to stop and had tears in your eyes. Those people are not mentally or physically able to be in athletics, and i will be in my office after class for those who want to transfer out of athletics". She was staring at me the whole time. Keep in mind the room was full of a bunch of TWELVE year olds! The only reason Sergeant King hasn't been fired yet is because she's the principle of Plano West's daughter. She is quite horrible, and as long as she is working in this god forsaken school i suggest you stay out of PE or athletics as she will make your life hell. Overall she is very spoiled, self entitled, racist, classist, and she doesn't like kids with any disabilities, even though I think she has anger issues. She's only nice to the rich white kids who play club volleyball or football. By the way, everyone acts like she's so great because she played volleyball in Sweden, well guess what. Her rich parents flew her to Europe to play volleyball because she wasn't good enough to make an American team. There is lots of bullying at this school, and most of it comes from the administration. Horrible people, horrible coaches, and overall, horrible school. Quite possibly the worst time of my life, i'm so glad i don't go here anymore. *Drops mic*
This school is the best on Plano (yes, better than Robinson). Some will say Robinson has a better music program, well guess what? In 2018, Rice Tenor/bass choir AND chamber orchestra are BOTH invited to TMEA! While Robinson only have one. It's academic programs and athletic program are also the best. If you want your child to be successful, this is the school to go!
This is an amazing school. The atmosphere is incredibly good and both the teacher's and students are nice. The classes are extremely well taught and they have won many awards.
Rice excels at music and academics. However, the athletic department is lacking. The coaches are ignorant and biased. They are not able to fulfill what it takes to be a teacher.
